After giving us a great show on Saturday Night Live, Grammy-Award Winning SZA and Emmy Award Winning Keke Palmer come together again. Starring in the movie “One of Them Days” about two broke friends who do the oddest things to raise money. (We’ve all been there at one point in our lives, haven’t we?) 

From Director Olatunde Osunsanmi comes the movie Star Trek: Section 31. It is intended to be the first real TV movie in the Star Trek franchise and part of producer Alex Kurtzman’s expanded Star Trek Universe. 

What if someone you loved became something else? Says the one-liner used in promoting the Wolfman movie. (Eskiss me, have you met some Nigerian men?)

The Last Showgirl 

Pamela Anderson stars as Shelly, a glamorous showgirl, in the emotional film “The Last Showgirl”. When the Las Vegas show she has headlined for decades announces its closure, Shelly must come to terms with her past decisions and the community she has built. As she plans her next move, Shelly’s story unfolds in a film about resilience, identity, and the power of community.

Directed by Gia Coppola, “The Last Showgirl” features an all-star cast, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Brenda Song, Kiernan Shipka, and Billie Lourd. The film includes an original song, “Beautiful That Way”, performed by Miley Cyrus and produced by Andrew Wyatt. To be released on the 13th of January.

Wolf Man

Get ready for a chilling new horror film, Wolf Man, from the creators of The Invisible Man and Blumhouse. The movie stars Christopher Abbott as Blake, a San Francisco husband and father who inherits his childhood home in rural Oregon after his father’s disappearance.

Blake’s marriage to his wife Charlotte (Julia Garner) is on the rocks. He convinces her to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter. However, their trip takes a dark turn when they’re attacked by a mysterious animal and forced to barricade themselves inside the house.

As the night wears on, Blake begins to undergo a terrifying transformation. Charlotte must decide whether the monster inside the house is more deadly than the one outside.

Wolf Man set to be released on January 17 is directed by Leigh Whannell.

Keke Palmer and SZA star as inseparable best friends and roommates Dreux and Alyssa in a hilarious new comedy. When Alyssa’s boyfriend squanders their rent money, the duo embarks on a series of outrageous misadventures to scrounge up the cash and avoid eviction. From donating blood to retrieving expensive sneakers from a telephone pole, Dreux and Alyssa will stop at nothing to save their home and their friendship.

As Lawrence Lamont makes his feature directorial debut, One of Them Days releases to theaters on January 24. 

Star Trek: Section 31

Easily one of the most anticipated movies in January 2025, “Star Trek: Section 31” remains shrouded in secrecy. But, a few details have emerged. The story takes place within the Star Trek timeline. Specifically after the events of “Star Trek: Discovery” Season 2 and about a decade before “The Original Series.” 

Michelle Yeoh reprises her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou. She joins a clandestine Starfleet division tasked with safeguarding the United Federation of Planets. As Georgiou confronts her troubled past, she’s joined by an ensemble cast, including Omari Hardwick, Kacey Rohl, Sam Richardson, and more. The movie is directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi and debuts on January 24.

A woman planning her sister’s dream wedding and the father of another bride-to-be discover they’ve accidentally booked the same remote island resort. They reluctantly agree to share the venue. As the two groups navigate the chaos of a shared wedding space, they’re forced to confront their own personal insecurities and learn more about themselves in the process.

Starring Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon and Directed by Nick Stoller. It is set to be released on the 30th of January.
