The Piano Lesson (Nov. 22)

“The Piano Lesson” is a film adaptation of August Wilson’s acclaimed play, set in 1936 Pittsburgh amidst the Great Depression’s aftermath. Directed by Malcolm Washington and co-written with Virgil Williams, the story unfolds in the Doaker Charles household, where the Charles family navigates their complex past. At the center is a cherished family heirloom: an antique piano adorned with carvings by an enslaved ancestor.

With mentorship from cunning ex-slave Macrinus, Lucius battles his way through the arena, driven by his quest for justice.

Red One (Nov. 15)

Red One, an action-packed Christmas comedy, stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Callum Drift, an elite operative whose mission to retrieve a powerful artifact inadvertently threatens the holiday season. 

With Christmas spirits dwindling, Callum teams up with a witty, modern-day Santa Claus (Chris Evans) to save the holiday. This unlikely duo embarks on a thrilling adventure, battling Christmas-themed villains and rediscovering the true meaning of Christmas. 

Directed by Jake Kasdan and coming on November 15, Red One promises an electrifying mix of humor, heart, and high-stakes action.

Wicked Part 1 (Nov. 22)

Wicked Part 1, directed by Jon M. Chu, brings Gregory Maguire’s novel to life.
